These terms govern your use of the Bishop Arts Hotel website and set out the ground rules for enquiries, reservations and stays. By using this site you agree to them.
They sit alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle the information you give us. Where a written reservation confirmation or group agreement says something different, that document takes precedence for that booking.
Using this website
You may browse this site, contact us through it, and use it to research and request a stay. You agree not to interfere with the site's operation, submit automated or fraudulent enquiries, scrape it at a volume that degrades service for other visitors, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site at any time without notice.
Enquiries are not reservations
Submitting the contact form starts a conversation; it does not create a booking, hold a room, or guarantee a rate or availability. A reservation exists only once it is confirmed in writing by us or by the booking engine, with a confirmation number.
Where a rate, promotion or discount is described on this site, it is subject to availability and to the terms attached to that offer at the time of booking.
Rates, taxes and payment
Rates shown are per room, per night, in US dollars, and exclude applicable state and local taxes and any assessments unless expressly stated otherwise. Taxes and fees are calculated and disclosed before you complete a booking.
The 'Book Direct & Save 5%' offer applies to eligible rates booked directly with us and cannot be combined with other promotions unless we say so in writing.
We make every effort to keep rates and descriptions accurate, but pricing errors can occur. If a clear error is discovered before your arrival, we will contact you with the correct rate and you may cancel without penalty.
Cancellation and changes
Cancellation terms vary by rate and by date, and the terms that apply to your stay are the ones stated in your booking confirmation. Please read that confirmation carefully — some rates are non-refundable.
To change or cancel a reservation, contact us using the details at the bottom of this page as early as you can. Where a stay is cut short after arrival, refunds for unused nights are at our discretion and subject to the rate booked.
Check-in, check-out and self check-in
Check-in is from 3:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Self check-in is available for all guests via a secure digital entry system; access credentials are personal to the reservation holder and must not be shared.
The reservation holder must be at least 18 years old and may be asked to present government-issued photo identification and a valid payment card.
Property policies
- Pets are welcome. Additional policies, limits and fees may apply, and pets must not be left unattended in rooms.
- The property is entirely smoke-free, including all guest rooms and the pool deck.
- Guests are responsible for the conduct of everyone in their party and for any damage beyond ordinary wear and tear.
- The outdoor pool is unsupervised and has no lifeguard on duty. Use it at your own risk and observe the posted hours and rules.
- Complimentary on-site parking is offered as a convenience. Vehicles and their contents are left at your own risk.
- We may refuse or end a stay where conduct threatens the safety, security or reasonable enjoyment of other guests or our staff.
Events and group bookings
Group room blocks, wedding-party bookings and corporate offsites are governed by the separate written agreement we issue for them, which prevails over these terms where the two conflict.
Chatelet Dallas is a separate venue operating on the same historic grounds. Booking a room with us does not reserve the venue, and venue contracts are entered into with Chatelet directly under its own terms.
Intellectual property
The name Bishop Arts Hotel, the BA monogram, the wordmark, and the text, photography, illustrations and layout of this site are owned by us or licensed to us and are protected by copyright and trade mark law.
You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. Any other reproduction, distribution, or use — including in marketing material, on a listing site, or to train a machine-learning model — requires our prior written permission.
Third-party links
This site links to neighborhood businesses, mapping services, the Chatelet venue and our social profiles as a convenience. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for their content, accuracy or practices, and a link is not an endorsement. Their terms and privacy policies govern your use of them.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
This website is provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis. While we work to keep it accurate and current, we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that descriptions, distances, travel times and photographs are free of inaccuracy. Travel times are estimates and depend on traffic and conditions.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of this site. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of them.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. The revision date at the top of this page reflects the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change takes effect means you accept the revised terms. The terms in force when you made a reservation govern that reservation.
